What began as a passion project has evolved into something more! I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished so far and even more excited for what’s to come. Join me on this journey into a new creative branch of life!
I realized that sheep wool is such a wonderful tool that has so many uses and applications. This can be used to cushion a high heel and absorb moisture during a night out. A businessman with those shard shoes that look great but may squeeze your toes or maybe a bunion. Any shoes that have a spot that rubs the skin raw or causes blisters.
My goal it to provide free packages to our homeless population in Alberta. Trench-foot is a persistent issue in this community. While this may not completely solve the problem it can absolutely improve the experience of unhoused people. Your purchase allows me to give back. Any donations are welcome! My goal is to provide resources to underprivileged people. It is up to us as a community to care for one another. I have been blessed to have some wonderful people in my life but I do know what it’s like to not have the support you desperately need. I don’t believe we should have to pour from an empty cup. This is my journey to keeping my cup full so I can fulfill my part of the mission.

What sets Mende Crown Co. apart isn’t just my process—it’s the intention behind it. I like to take my time to create with care, and move with purpose.
Hello! Welcome to Mende Crown Co. I’m a Canadian born Sierra Leonian, from the Mende tribe. I had the privilege of going back home in 2025. That time reset my perspective on how I want and need to live my life moving forward.
I’ve been working as a nurse for the past five years. Through this work, as well as my travels, I’ve learned a tremendous amount about myself and others. I’ve realized that I’ve been sacrificing my creativity for over a decade and it’s time for me to express my artistic nature.
In 2020 (with all of my free time), I took the leap into doing my own braids, faux locs, and twists. I LOVED IT! I could have the exact styles I wanted. I was able to experiment with colour, length and fullness. Personally, I’m extra and drawn to multitude of styles but my favourites have been the extra long extra full styles. This unfortunately is not conducive to nursing! So my usual go to was something shorter and easy to manage.
I started creating this wig as my formal entrance into cosplaying! It’s something i’ve wanted to do since my teens. I told myself in recent years when I do cosplay I want to have black hairstyles. The black cosplay community deserves more options for hairstyle interpretations. I always love seeing the creativity in the community. I’m throwing my hat in the ring. So if you’re looking for a show stopping hair piece then look no further!
A bit more background about me. I used to be a dancer, I trained for 13 years and spent 2 years on Pointe. I always wanted to be a ballerina on pointe. While on pointe we used sheeps wool in the toe box to cushion our toes.
Due to my background when I began rollerskating I had cheaper skates. They are a fine place to start but the toe inside the boot was uncomfortable for me. I remembered I had some wool left over from those days. I used it for the next few months while I was learning on those skates.
These experiences have led me to this pointe ;)
